Title Aguas Pacífico Year 2024 Client Aguas Pacífico Category Augmented Reality
We developed an augmented reality (AR) application to enhance the understanding of the Aguas Pacífico desalination plant project by integrating digital information into a physical scale model of the geographical context, which showed the plant's location, pipeline layout, and delivery points. The result was an interactive tour through the plant, combining physical and digital visualization in real time.
Using image recognition techniques, the application enabled the overlay of a virtual information layer onto specific elements of the scale model, displaying relevant data about the various key points of the facility. This solution was developed using AR Foundation, Unity3D's AR integration, together with AR Core, Google's native platform for running augmented reality on Android devices. The project was developed in collaboration with Sinestesia LIE, using AR development tools that provided an intuitive, informative, and portable experience.
