For the renewable energy company wpd, we developed an immersive extended reality (XR) experience that allowed users to explore the operation of its wind farms in an interactive way. We modeled a wind power plant in 3D and incorporated a graphical interface that displayed technical information about turbines and components, accessible through an augmented reality (AR) application. The model included realistic representations of the Vestas V136 generator, optimized for mobile visualization.

In addition, we designed a virtual reality (VR) system in Unity 3D that controlled the playback of a 360° video recorded at their facilities in France. Playback was triggered automatically when the Meta Quest 2 headset was detected, ensuring a smooth and personalized experience. The project was developed for the ACERA 2023 Annual Renewable Energy Meeting—in collaboration with Sinestesia LIE—combining XR technologies to effectively communicate the scale and complexity of clean energy.
